Ly Nha Ky: I have a strange illness.

"This is true, I think it's a disease, not a simple matter. However, I haven't had time to go for a check-up yet," Ly Nha Ky shared.

Known for her expensive designer outfits, multi-billion dollar fortune, and numerous prominent appearances on international red carpets, few people know that Ly Nha Ky leads a rather simple private life, contrasting sharply with her glamorous public image.

In the "Stories with Stars" program of the Sports and Culture Newspaper, Ly Nha Ky shared details about her very ordinary daily life.

By day she's a maid, by night she's a princess.

I'm passionate about beauty; I like anything that's beautiful. Sometimes, I buy something but never use it, simply because it's pretty. It's just that I like to buy and own things. And I have a habit, stemming from my impoverished childhood, of buying two or three identical sets of clothes, just in different colors.

Regarding people saying I wear luxurious, expensive clothes, it's just that when attending events or appearing in public, I have to dress neatly and politely. Normally, I'm quite simple. I like wearing sandals, jeans, and shirts with cartoon or animal prints.

I'm also a perfectionist. For example, in a meeting, I'd readily ask everyone to stop just to move the table a hand's width further. Or, I'd personally choose each pair of slippers for the office restroom, deciding what color for men and women.

In my free time, I often clean the house or go shopping for new furniture to redecorate. I like displaying things and I love tidiness. I'm so passionate about cleaning that even when I stay in a hotel room, I still clean my own room.

My house gets quite a lot of visitors, and the first thing they always ask is, "You must have just moved here, right?", because my house is so clean, beautiful, and tidy, it doesn't look like a house that's lived in regularly.

Even when I'm busy attending film festivals abroad, I still have to tidy up my hotel room before I can sleep. I even rearrange each chair and table myself to my liking. It's the same every single day.

Even if someone misplaces their glass of water, I'll go and put it back in the right place myself. Of course, I don't ask people to do it for me; I'll tidy everything up myself according to my own preferences.

If people see me regularly, they'll notice I'm the typical "maid by day, princess by night" type. I'm very well-dressed for events in the evening, but during the day, my hair is always messy and my clothes are sloppy.

I'm the kind of person who, once I start something, doesn't care about appearance or image anymore. That's how I achieve what I want.

I have a strange illness that hasn't been diagnosed yet. It causes me to forget everything that happened after a night's sleep. Because of this, many people say they hate me, but after a night's sleep, I can't remember their names or faces anymore. Even when I meet them again, I still greet them warmly. But when someone reminds me, I can't remember them at all.

This is true; I think it's a medical condition, not just a simple matter. However, I haven't had time to see a doctor about it yet.

I'm not fluent in English, but my international relations are still good, and my international friends understand me. Simply because I dare to break down the language barrier.

If they don't understand the first time, explain it repeatedly and find a way to explain it to them. Just speak confidently and explain it to them until they understand.

I admit I'm not good at English, and I haven't had any formal English classes. But I do have experience communicating, and I've learned from my foreign friends. When a foreigner says something I don't understand, I'll ask them to explain it to me. I learn English from my own life experiences.

For the past five years, I've focused solely on business. I only have six hours a day left for personal time; the rest is dedicated to work.

One day, I had so much work to do that it caused me a lot of stress. However, I had to find a way to relieve that stress myself. For example, I could boil sweet potatoes for everyone to eat to ease the tension.

I don't like cooking, I just like eating delicious food. When I lived in Germany, my view was that cooking just needed to be done, not necessarily to be delicious. But I do like delicious food; I can tell if something tastes good instantly.

I want a husband but haven't found one yet.

In every job I do, I cherish it and do my best so that the audience remembers me, rather than focusing on one particular thing, whether it's being an actress, a tourism ambassador, or a businesswoman. This way, I can experience and accumulate more knowledge.

I also always have something to learn, from the lowest to the highest members of society.

Currently, I'm working on the Standing Committee of the Vietnam-Philippines Friendship Association and am also the Vice President of the Vietnam Gemstone and Jewelry Association, the Vice President of the Vietnam Motorcycle and Bicycle Federation… in general, I have a lot of work. But I don't feel too much pressure.

The word "success" is very vague, as it depends on each person's perspective and viewpoint. For me, success is simply trying my best to achieve what I want, there's no formula.

For example, there was a big event in Italy recently that invited many celebrities. I had already prepared my plane tickets and team, but it coincided with the office relocation, so I canceled the entire trip. Many people said I was foolish for missing the opportunity to meet many major international partners, but I believe that moving to a new office was also a success.

I love film, especially acting, because it challenges me and allows me to embody many different characters. I've dreamed of being an actress since I was a child, but my parents weren't very supportive; they just wanted me to have a stable job.

Therefore, I decided to become a sponsor of the Cannes Film Festival, in order to support funds and young talents in the film industry.

In addition, I also want to do many things to contribute to the image of my country.

Regarding the comments that I'm sponsoring this or that to polish my personal image, I'm not upset and I don't think much about it. If you're bad, you think others are bad too, that's all. Besides, without a personal image, where would the image of the country come from? My view is to honor the image of Vietnam through my personal image.

As a woman, everyone wants a loving husband. If I could get married, it would be like finding the final piece of my puzzle. So, I really want one, but I haven't found one yet.
