Made by Google 8/21: Google Pixel 10 launched with famous stars
Google will introduce the Pixel 10 and many new devices at the Made by Google event on August 21, Vietnam time, with the surprise appearance of Stephen Curry and the Jonas Brothers.
Pixel 10 appears at Made by Google event
After spending much of Google I/O 2025 introducing artificial intelligence and the Gemini series of features, Google is set to return with new hardware.
The Made by Google event will take place at 1 a.m. on August 21 (Vietnam time). The company has confirmed the design of at least one phone model in the Pixel 10 series, making the tech world more excited.
The presence of entertainment and sports stars
Google has released a teaser video on X, revealing that the event will feature a number of special guests. Among them are host Jimmy Fallon, basketball star Stephen Curry, F1 driver Lando Norris and the Jonas Brothers. The star-studded lineup promises to be a party that combines technology and entertainment.
Pixel 10 series: Four versions, many notable changes
Google confirmed that it will unveil the Pixel 10 at the Made by Google 2025 event, taking place on August 21 (Vietnam time). This year's product line includes the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Promotional images show that the "Moonstone" and "Indigo" blue versions will be the new highlights.
The Pixel 10 is rumored to feature a triple-camera system for the first time, adding a 5x telephoto lens but possibly at the expense of the main and ultra-wide sensors. The big upgrade across the line is Qi2 wireless charging with support for the fast 25W standard, along with a “Pixelsnap” accessory ecosystem similar to Apple’s MagSafe.
The Pixel 10 Pro Fold alone could become the first foldable phone to achieve IP68 certification, the highest level of dust and water resistance, representing a major technical step forward for Google.
Pixel 10 price and new software
According to the leak, the Pixel 10's US price will remain the same as the Pixel 9, from $799 for the standard version to $1,799 for the Pro Fold. The Pixel 10 Pro XL alone could increase by $100 due to an increase in starting storage capacity to 256GB.
All four devices will run Android 16 with Material 3 Expressive design language, colorful interface, support for new desktop mode and advanced AI features.
Pixel Watch 4: New design, faster charging
This year’s event also brought the Pixel Watch 4 in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm. The biggest difference is the all-new charger, which allows the watch to be placed horizontally when charging, both supporting faster support and creating a “desktop clock” style display interface.
While new software features are still unknown, the Pixel Watch 4 will likely still start at $349 for the Wi-Fi version and $399 for the LTE version, similar to the previous generation.
Pixel Buds 2A: Popular headphones with upgraded sound
Four years after the Pixel Buds A-Series, Google is preparing to launch the Pixel Buds 2A with many upgrades. According to leaked information, the product will have active noise cancellation (ANC) and spatial audio, but without Silent Seal 2.0 and head tracking features like the Pro 2. Battery life is up to 7 hours, or 20 hours with the charging case.
The expected price in Europe is 149 euros (~$175), most likely to be sold in the US for $149.
Sales schedule: No mass launch
Google is expected to announce all of its products at the same event, but the sales will be split into batches. The Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL will be available on August 28, while the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and Pixel Buds 2A will have to wait until October 9.
