Reuters news agency quoted Mr. Hamidi as telling reporters: "I once again confirm that the deceased is Kim Jong-nam. This confirmation was made based on samples taken from his son."
North Korea has so far denied that the man killed at Kuala Lumpur airport was Kim Jong-nam. North Korea said the man was named Kim Chol and was carrying a diplomatic passport.
