Man United want Japanese goalkeeper, waiting for Jonathan David for free
Man United under coach Ruben Amorim are gradually stabilizing and returning to transfer targets.

Although they may not be as active in January due to financial issues, the "Red Devils" are still "keeping an eye" on potential targets. Notably, Man United are interested in Parma goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, who has rejected them in the past. Besides, they also have the opportunity to recruit Jonathan David of Lille on a free next summer.
United approached Suzuki when he was at Urawa Red Diamonds, but the 22-year-old turned him down as he did not want to be a backup to Andre Onana. However, Suzuki's impressive performances for Parma have brought him back into United's sights. Parma value the Japanese goalkeeper at £40 million, a figure too high for United to afford in January. However, a fine performance from reserve goalkeeper Altay Bayindir in the FA Cup win over Arsenal has also helped ease concerns about the Red Devils' goalkeeping position.
In addition to the goalkeeper position, Man United are also interested in Lille striker Jonathan David, whose contract expires in the summer. The Canadian has scored 11 goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season and has also scored 4 goals in the Champions League. Man United will have to compete with Juventus for David's signature. Owning Jonathan David without a transfer fee would be a significant addition to the team.
