(Baonghean.vn) – On April 18th, Viettel will officially launch its 4G network with outstanding features, eagerly awaited by many users, nationwide.

4G has been a hot topic recently and is the technology most anticipated by mobile phone users in Vietnam. According to IT experts, there are currently virtually no major obstacles to the explosive development of 4G networks in Vietnam in particular and on the global market in general.

According to statistics, in 2015, only 65% ​​of smartphones sold globally were 4G phones, but in 2016 this number increased to 77%.

The increasing demand for mobile data among users is also causing slower 3G services to fall behind. These changes show that the upgrade to 4G is an inevitable trend. With speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G, 4G networks can better meet the growing needs of mobile users.

According to information from Viettel, the network's 4G speed averaged 40-80 Mb/s during testing in Vung Tau, which is seven times higher than the actual average speed of 3G networks.

At certain times, Viettel's 4G speed can reach 230Mb/s, close to the theoretical ideal speed (currently, advanced 4G LTE-A technology can achieve download speeds of 300 Mb/s and upload speeds of 150 Mb/s).

4G services promise to significantly improve the user experience for activities such as web browsing, watching high-quality movies (Full-HD and 4K), and playing mobile games.

Viettel is ready to launch 4G.

To date, Viettel has stated that it has completed its infrastructure and network to be ready to provide 4G services. Viettel will provide services to all customers in all provinces and cities nationwide right from the launch of the 4G network. And from now on, customers can experience Viettel's 4G technology in many different locations.

Viettel is ready to welcome the launch of its 4G service on April 18th.

Besides developing networks and infrastructure, mobile operators in Vietnam have implemented 4G SIM upgrade programs. Viettel's 4G SIM exchange program started in 2016 when the operator tested 4G in Ba Ria-Vung Tau and became a major campaign from the beginning of 2017.

As of June 30, 2017, customers had access to 1,600 Viettel SIM exchange points nationwide to register and receive a free 4G SIM card.

Viettel Nghe An before the 'D-Day'

With only 3 days left until Viettel launches its 4G network nationwide, all preparations at Viettel Nghe An have been completed; everything is ready before 'D-Day'.

At Viettel's transaction points throughout Nghe An province, there's a vibrant atmosphere welcoming the 4G network with banners and decorative items everywhere. Also during the upcoming opening week, customers who conduct transactions at Viettel stores and agents will receive lovely gifts printed with the Viettel 4G logo.

Joining the nationwide Viettel 4G launch event, from April 15th to 16th, Viettel Nghe An province organized a parade throughout the province to promote this significant event and introduce the new service to a large number of Viettel customers.
