What is foot massage?

This is a method of stimulating different points on the feet to affect glands and organs in the body. Massaging these points can help:

To get these benefits, you first need to know that the acupressure points on the feet affect different organs:

- Toes affect the head

Eliminate insomnia with foot massage

You should massage your feet according to the following steps for about 15 minutes before going to bed:

1. Relax each foot by gently massaging it up and down. You can also tap the foot. Finish this warm-up relaxation by gently squeezing the solar plexus in the foot (the midpoint of the indented ball of the foot) between the thumb and index finger for 5-10 seconds.

2. Starting at the sole of the foot, move your thumb up to the tip of each toe, one at a time. Imagine your hand is crawling up your foot like a caterpillar. When you reach the tip of your toes, press on the reflex points on the top, side, and middle of each toe with the tips and sides of your thumb and index finger. For added effect, if you have a particular area you want to focus on, press on the corresponding reflex point.

3. Repeat the relaxation techniques in step 1 one more time, ending with pressure on the plexus point.

4. Finish the full massage by gently gliding your fingers up and down the foot so that they barely touch the skin. This technique helps calm the nerves and helps you sink into a deep, calm state of mind, where you can drift off into a peaceful sleep.

When you finish this technique, you will enter a meditative state. You can say to yourself, “I am ready to have a deep, restorative sleep and wake up refreshed in the morning.”
