Losing points against Quang Nam, SLNA falls out of the top 5 position

(Baonghean.vn) - Playing hard on Tam Ky field and taking the lead twice, however, confusing decisions by referee Hoang Anh Tuan took away a victory for SLNA.
Still hoping to improve their ranking, SLNA continued to attack to find opportunities. After a series of tit-for-tat situations, the Nghe An team finally scored the opening goal. From a quick counter-attack, Michael Olaha coordinated with his teammates to create conditions for Phuc Tinh to rush down and finish close to the goal.
However, Quang Nam is still not an easy team to play against, especially when they play at home. Coach Vu Hong Viet's students got a 1-1 equalizer after the break thanks to a goal by Nguyen Hoang Quoc Chi.

In the second half, SLNA continued to push forward, determined to find a victory. But in the 62nd minute, Quang Nam had a dangerous counterattack. However, Ha Minh Tuan's shot defeated goalkeeper Tran Van Tien, but Van Khanh was able to cover for his teammate.
Immediately after that, SLNA counterattacked and Xuan Manh did not take too much time to face the opponent's goal. Although the number 11 midfielder's shot hit the crossbar, Phuc Tinh was quickly there to complete the double and raise the score to 2-1 for the away team.
In the 85th minute, the home team had a situation that threatened SLNA's goal. In the penalty area, although goalkeeper Tran Van Tien was fouled by Ha Minh Tuan, referee Hoang Anh Tuan did not blow the whistle. When everyone stopped and thought there would be a free kick, midfielder Davies' shot into the empty net brought the score to a balanced 2-2 amid fierce reactions from SLNA's coaching staff and players.
In the remaining minutes, both teams did not have clear opportunities to change the scoreboard and accepted a regrettable draw for the away team. This result pushed SLNA down to 7th place on the rankings with 35 points, while the home team Quang Nam finished the season in 9th place.

In this match, SLNA not only suffered a loss when the referee made unfavorable decisions, but the title of best player unexpectedly belonged to player Davies. Meanwhile, striker Ho Phuc Tinh, who scored 2 goals, was not voted as the best player by the Organizing Committee.
In the remaining matches, Viettel defeated SHB Da Nang 5-3, B. Binh Duong tied Thanh Hoa 1-1, Hai Phong Club lost to Ho Chi Minh City 1-2, Saigon Club beat Nam Dinh 4-1, HAGL defeated Khanh Hoa 4-1 and Than Quang Ninh surprisingly defeated Hanoi with a score of 4-2.
Thus, in the end, the championship belongs to Hanoi FC, Ho Chi Minh City FC won the runner-up position, and the third place belongs to Than Quang Ninh. S. Khanh Hoa FC was directly relegated and Thanh Hoa played the play-off match with Pho Hien FC on October 29 at Vinh Stadium.
