Power outages following the storm have led to price increases for rechargeable fans.

(Baonghean.vn) -After Typhoon No. 2 passed through, power lines in Nghe An province were damaged, causing power outages for several days. To have electricity, people rushed to buy generators and rechargeable fans.

Due to power outages caused by storms and heavy rain over the past few days, Ms. Ho Thi Nga from Quynh Chau commune (Quynh Luu district) had to go to the district market to buy a rechargeable fan for her family. According to Ms. Nga, to buy this HonJianDa rechargeable fan, priced at 650,000 VND, she had to visit four different stores before finally finding one. "Because I have young children, I need to buy a rechargeable fan to keep them cool. The power might be out for several more days, so many people are looking to buy them, and this item has become scarce," Ms. Nga said.

Understanding customer demand, after receiving numerous inquiries about purchasing rechargeable fans, several electronics stores in Quynh Luu district contacted the company to arrange for the shipment of goods to the public.

Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, owner of an electrical appliance stall in Cau Giat, said that due to power outages for several days, many people have been asking to buy rechargeable fans. However, because they couldn't secure a sufficient supply, they didn't have many to sell to the public. After the storm subsided, they had to import 10 units to sell to the people.

Due to a sudden surge in demand for rechargeable fans, many vendors have increased prices by 50,000 - 100,000 VND per unit. Currently, there are two types of rechargeable fans: small ones priced between 600,000 - 800,000 VND, and large ones priced between 1,000,000 - 1,500,000 VND per unit.
