Lost advertising contract because of dating Taylor Swift

The Italian fashion brand does not want to be accused of exploiting Tom's love affair with Taylor Swift to promote its image.

After Tom Hiddleston starred in some steamy scenes in The Night Manager, reports have emerged that Italian label Armani has tapped the British actor to be the face of their new collection. Tom Hiddleston could replace Calvin Harris as the face of the lingerie brand after the DJ finishes his two-year contract.

Tom Hiddleston has been dating Taylor Swift since early June.

However, according to the Mirror, because of his dating with Taylor Swift, The Avengers actor lost this advertising contract.

A source shared: "Tom was on the list of people who could replace Calvin Harris when the contract ended. Armani did not want to be seen as promoting their brand thanks to the Taylor Swift scandal. Therefore, Tom will not get this contract."

Calvin Harris (right) signed a two-year contract with Armani in 2014 and Tom had the chance to replace him but was ultimately rejected.

Since dating Taylor Swift, Tom Hiddleston has received more attention but also a lot of criticism. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift has been constantly entangled in trouble with her ex Calvin Harris and Kim Kardashian and her husband.

Tom Hiddleston's representative declined to comment.
