The Front must adapt to the demands of the new situation.
(Baonghean.vn) - This is the task set forth by Tran Thanh Man, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, in his concluding remarks at the 14th meeting of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, 8th term, on the afternoon of July 5th.
After a day of work and listening to the discussions of the delegates, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man delivered the concluding remarks at the 14th Conference of the Presidium of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (8th term).

At the conference, 15 delegates actively contributed opinions, suggestions, and proposals on solutions to enhance the position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the role of people in residential areas.
Accordingly, the Fatherland Front needs to continue strengthening its information and propaganda work, including oral communication, to raise awareness among all segments of the population, especially after several incidents of large gatherings protesting the Draft Law on Special Administrative and Economic Units and the Law on Cybersecurity. At the same time, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to work with the Party and the State to create consensus among the people.
Contributing to the theme of the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, some delegates suggested that the theme "Unity - Innovation - Cooperation - Development" is appropriate to the current context. Alongside promoting the strength of national unity, to enhance the effectiveness of the Front's activities, it is necessary to strengthen cooperation with friendly countries to consolidate the Front's operations, thereby building and protecting the Fatherland.
In addition, the Front must focus on building up the Vietnamese people and declaring war on manifestations of moral degradation.
Regarding the amendment of the Charter, delegates unanimously agreed that perfecting the Charter would contribute to strengthening the role of the Fatherland Front. To enhance the position of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, delegates proposed that the new Charter must ensure that the Front's organization is strong enough, its activities are effective, discipline is strict, and each Front official works together in unity to develop effective action programs, especially effective monitoring and critical feedback activities.

Acknowledging and appreciating the responsible work ethic and heartfelt contributions of the delegates, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Tran Thanh Man emphasized the key tasks for the coming period.
In the coming period, the Fatherland Front at all levels needs to seriously and effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws; improve the effectiveness of propaganda and mobilization work, create social consensus, so that the people have absolute trust in the Party's leadership and the State's management and administration, and be vigilant against the schemes and tactics of some elements who exploit the people's patriotism to incite unrest, disrupt security and order, and negatively affect the socio-economic development of each locality and the country.

Front officials mustTo have a firm grasp of the people's situation, to fully listen to the thoughts and aspirations of all strata of the population; to better care for the people's lives; and at the same time to promote democracy and proactively coordinate in resolving complex issues arising from the grassroots level. From there, to more effectively implement patriotic emulation campaigns and movements.
Comrade Tran Thanh Man suggested that Front officials at all levels closely adhere to Directive 17 of the Party Central Committee dated January 4, 2018, in preparing the content of the documents for the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, paying particular attention to renewing the content and organization of activities to meet the requirements and tasks of the country in the new period.Simultaneously, Front officials need to effectively organize and implement a special emulation campaign to celebrate the Congresses of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, leading up to the 9th National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; paying attention to the implementation of Resolution 18 dated October 25, 2017, of the 12th Central Committee on..."Some issues require continued innovation and streamlining of the political system's organizational structure to ensure efficient and effective operation.
The Fatherland Front at all levels also needs to effectively organize and implement the work of preventing and combating corruption and waste, practicing thrift, supervising and providing social feedback, innovating methods, strengthening dialogue, focusing on the effectiveness of coordination among member organizations of the Front and the participation of the people, and promptly reporting complete, objective information to the Party organization without avoidance.
