Latest Driver's License Template 2025
I would like to know more about the latest 2025 Driver's License model and image according to Circular 12. The issue of concern of Mr. Tran Anh Tuan (Con Cuong, Nghe An).
Reply: The Minister of Public Security has just issued Circular 12/2025/TT-BCA dated February 28, 2025 regulating the testing and issuance of driving licenses; issuance and use of international driving licenses. In which, there are regulations on the latest 2025 driving license model, the latest 2025 driving license image.
Pursuant to Section 1, Appendix X of Circular 12/2025/TT-BCA, the latest 2025 Driver's License form and image of the latest 2025 Driver's License are as follows:

Pursuant to Section 2, Appendix X of Circular 12/2025/TT-BCA, the latest 2025 Driver's License specifications are as follows:
A driver's license is a document (printed in Vietnamese and English) that includes information such as:
- The Driving License blank is made of PET material or material with equivalent technical standards, has pink patterns and security symbols, and is 85.6 x 53.98 x 0.76 mm in size (according to ICAO Standard type ID-1);
- On the front of the Driver's License, there are the words "DRIVER'S LICENSE", the word "Number" in red; the words "ALL TYPES OF ROAD MOTOR VEHICLES PERMITTED TO BE DRIVEN", "Date of Admission" in black, bold; other words in black.
- The driver's photo taken on a blue background is printed directly on the Driver's License;
- There is a security coating on both sides of the Driving License;
- The front of the Driver's License displays the following information:
Driver's License Number, Driver's Full Name, Date of Birth, Nationality, Date of Issue, Expiry Date, Issuing Authority, Place of Residence, Class.
- The back of the Driver's License displays the following information:
Types of motor vehicles to be driven (written in Vietnamese and English), date of passing, have a two-dimensional code (QR) to read, quickly decode information on the Driver's License and link to the Driver's License information system at the Traffic Police Department.
In addition, pursuant to Section 3, Appendix X of Circular 12/2025/TT-BCA, the regulations on how to print the latest 2025 Driver's License are as follows:
- Print each category of Driver's License that the driver is allowed to drive (displayed in Vietnamese and English).
