Debt dispute, brought 'gasoline bomb' to rented room and set fire
On March 14, the Investigation Police Agency of Dong Nai Province Police is detaining two subjects Nguyen Phi Long (born 2000) and Doan Anh Phuc (born 2005), both residing in Bien Hoa City, Dong Nai Province, to investigate and clarify the act of threatening to kill.
Due to a conflict with Mr. Tran Van Khiem (born 1990, residing in Long Binh ward, Bien Hoa city) over debt and being scolded by Mr. Khiem, on the morning of March 11, Long invited Phuc to where Mr. Khiem lived to resolve the conflict.
On the way, they bought 20 thousand dong worth of gasoline at a retail gas station in Long Binh ward and put it in a small plastic bag. When they arrived, they saw that Khiem's room door was closed. Phuc used a lock (prepared by Long in advance) to hook the door and poured gasoline inside according to Long's instructions, then the two quickly escaped.
Discovering the incident, Mr. Khiem and his wife opened the door to escape but were locked from the outside, so they called an acquaintance to open the door and then went to the police station to report.
During the investigation, Long Binh Ward Police arrested Long and Phuc. Through the struggle, the two subjects admitted to their crimes.
After that, Long Binh Ward Police handed over the case to the Criminal Police Department, Dong Nai Provincial Police to investigate and clarify according to their authority.
