Earlier, Mr. Tuan (45 years old) was driving his wife on a motorbike to their family's gold shop on Cong Quynh Street, District 1. As soon as they stopped in front of the shop, he was suddenly attacked by Thao, who was riding a scooter, who slashed his hand. Despite being injured, the victim managed to chase after Thao and, with the help of bystanders, apprehended him.
Thảo confessed that she bought the sword as a weapon for revenge due to a "romantic conflict" with Mr. Tuấn. She waited outside the gold shop for quite a while before having the opportunity to strike. Mr. Tuấn suffered a severed muscle and 3% injury, and requested that the investigating agency prosecute Thảo criminally.
