(Baonghean.vn) - One of the two black boxes of the Boeing 737-800 aircraft has been found at the crash site at Rostov-on-Don airport, RIA Novosti reported, citing a source from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations. Authorities are currently continuing the search for the second black box.

According to AP, the Flydibai plane circled in the sky for two hours before attempting a second landing and crashing. This information was provided on March 19th by Ian Petchenik, a spokesperson for Flightradar24, a website that tracks flights globally. He stated that during the first landing attempt, the plane lost its rhythm and had to continue flying. Subsequently, the plane attempted a second landing and lost contact.

The mayor of the Rostov region, Vasily Golubev, said,bad weather, heavy rain and wind.This is considered the leading cause of the accident. However, Zhanna Terekorova, advisor to the Russian Minister of Transport, stated that pilot error cannot be ruled out.

Security camera footage at the airport shows a loud explosion as the plane crashes. Then, a fierce fire erupts, with large sparks flying into the sky.

Nearly 1,000 people and more than 100 vehicles were deployed to carry out rescue operations for this unfortunate accident.

"We will do everything we can to support those affected by this accident," Flydubai pledged.

According to initial reports, among the 62 passengers who died, 44 were Russian citizens, 8 were Ukrainian, two were Indian, and one was from Uzbekistan. The Dubai media office has extended its deepest condolences to the families of the victims.
