Israeli aircraft attack Lebanon's capital Beirut for the first time
Israeli aircraft first attacked a building in the Lebanese capital Beirut.

According to TASS on September 30, a witness said that for the first time, Israeli aircraft attacked a building in the capital Beirut in the Kola district, shaking neighboring buildings.
“The plane crashed into a building near the Kola bridge. A missile exploded,” the witness said.
Before the airstrike, Israeli drones carried out reconnaissance flights in the skies southwest of the Lebanese capital.
Earlier, Reuters wrote that more than 100 people were killed in an Israeli attack on Lebanon on September 29. According to the source, the Israeli Air Force completed an attack on Hezbollah targets in Lebanon.
On the same day, September 29, Israeli officials posted a list of senior Hezbollah leaders and military commanders they had targeted in recent weeks, showing that most had been killed.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah was a “necessary condition” for Israel to achieve its goals. Netanyahu said Israel was approaching a historic turning point in its efforts against its enemies. “We are determined to continue attacking our enemies and bring our people and all the hostages home,” the Israeli Prime Minister said.
US President Joe Biden called Israel's killing of the Hezbollah leader "an act of justice." According to the US leader, Washington fully supports Israel's right to defend itself against Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis and any other groups backed by Iran.
