Military plane crashes, pilot parachutes to safety.
On the morning of January 28th, a military aircraft crashed in the mountainous area bordering Hoa Xuan commune and Dong Hoa ward (Dak Lak province, formerly part of Dong Hoa district, old Phu Yen province).
According to initial information, when the incident occurred, the pilot on board parachuted out, sustained injuries, and was taken by rescue forces to Phu Yen General Hospital (Tuy Hoa ward) for emergency treatment.
The leader of Dong Hoa ward said that the local authorities have been informed of the incident and are verifying the information. Meanwhile, the leader of Hoa Xuan commune said that the plane crash site is not within the commune's territory. However, the commune is still monitoring the situation and making efforts to coordinate with supporting forces.
The relevant forces and units are coordinating to handle the incident.
