The new generation Mazda CX-5 has been revealed.
The 2017 crossover model features a redesigned exterior, added driver-assistance technology, and a more premium interior.
The new generation CX-5 is expected to debut globally on November 16th at the Los Angeles Auto Show in the US. The Mazda CX-5 competes in the same segment as the Honda CR-V and Hyundai Tucson. While highly rated and a bestseller in Vietnam, the CX-5 lags behind competitors like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V in the US.

In a brief announcement, Mazda stated that it has refined all aspects of design and technology to apply to the new generation CX-5. Inheriting the Kodo design philosophy, the soul of motion, the front end borrows styling from its larger sibling, the new CX-9.
The interior uses higher-quality materials, along with a range of driver-assistance technologies. Mazda also hinted at the possibility of borrowing the interior design of the new CX-9 for the 2017 CX-5.
The Japanese automaker has not yet released detailed information about the engine options for the 2017 CX-5. The previous version of the CX-5 used two Skyactiv gasoline engines: a 2-liter and a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, and a 2.2-liter diesel engine.
Compared to its rivals, the CX-5's success is primarily due to its trendy, elegant, eye-catching design and many unique features. Its price is reasonable for a high-riding vehicle with many amenities, and especially its highly anticipated Skyactiv engine generation.
