MC Lai Van Sam announced that a fake account was using his image to advertise a fraudulent eye supplement product, affecting many people.
On his official Facebook page, MC Lai Van Sam expressed his outrage at this act of impersonation. He stated:"For the past few days, a fake Facebook page impersonating me (including my photo) has appeared, advertising some kind of eye supplement, and many people have been scammed. Therefore, I feel compelled to send this announcement to everyone."
MC Lai Van Sam emphasized that he only uses one Facebook account. The reason he created this page is because too many people are impersonating him for malicious purposes. He affirmed that he has never participated in advertising for any product or brand.
"There are too many people impersonating me for malicious purposes. I have never and will never advertise for any products or brands."He emphasized.
MC Lai Van Sam urgently called on fans and the online community to raise their vigilance and avoid believing in misinformation and scams on social media.
Previously, numerous fake fan pages using the name and image of MC Lai Van Sam for various purposes had appeared on social media. Notably, a fake Facebook page recently posted a series of advertisements for a product presented as eye recovery medicine.
These articles also use misleading information, such as claiming that MC Lai Van Sam had advertised this product on VTV or that his mother's eyesight had improved thanks to using this medicine.
Furthermore, the fake website also posted unverified information about the product's origin, medical certifications, and actual uses. Alarmingly, hundreds of accounts commented on these posts, expressing interest and a desire to purchase the product.
This incident serves as a wake-up call for social media users about the need to thoroughly verify information before making any purchasing decisions, especially for health-related products.
