On the morning of April 20th, MC Bich Hong posted an apology, hoping for forgiveness. She stated: "I send my most sincere and deepest apologies to all the esteemed uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, and friends for my carelessness in my words and statements on social media."

In a moment of impulsiveness and recklessness, I lost control of my negative emotions and knew it was very wrong. When I got home and calmed down, reading the comments from the audience, I felt so ashamed and regretful that I immediately deleted the post. From the bottom of my heart, I sincerely apologize, learn from this experience, and hope to receive your forgiveness."

She also affirmed that, as a daughter of Ho Chi Minh City, she feels happy to see the city developing and looking forward to the 50th anniversary of national reunification.

On the evening of April 19th, SCTV4 – where MC Bich Hong works – announced that it had terminated its collaboration with editor Bich Hong as of April 18th. The station also removed all images and clips of this female editor from its channels.

Previously, a post from an account allegedly belonging to editor Bich Hong (SCTV4) went viral on social media. The female editor complained about the parade causing hours of traffic congestion on the evening of April 18th.

"Ms. Bich Hong is not an official employee of SCTV, but only a collaborator who participated in some programs in the past. Ms. Bich Hong's personal statements on social media are her personal opinions and are not related to or representative of SCTV's views. SCTV has terminated all cooperation, use of her image, and broadcasting of programs related to Ms. Bich Hong, effective April 19," SCTV announced.

MC Bich Hong's post was shared and posted across various forums. The online community expressed outrage, arguing that the female editor had negative thoughts, made inappropriate statements, and did not meet the standards and role of an editor at a television station.

Following the backlash, the female editor locked all her social media accounts, from Facebook and Instagram to TikTok and Threads. She also quickly deleted the post afterward.
