Hearing the phone ringing with a message, I opened it to see a series of stunning photos my friend had just sent. I admired each photo she took with the mountains and forests of the high Ky Son range. My petite friend was radiant among the countless clouds, mountains and bright red rhododendrons all over the Puxailaileng range, which is over 2,700m above sea level.
You excitedly "show off": The second time coming to Na Ngoi of Ky Son, every time there are unforgettable experiences and you want to come back. Having been to Na Ngoi many times, I, like my friend, have a new feeling every time I come to the mountains and forests of Puxailaileng range. This place is more than 20km from National Highway 7, the road is conveniently paved. Along the way, passing through winding bends, visitors can see the misty villages, the sa mu roofs with warm smoke floating in the cool morning mist; see the mountain peaks hidden in the rolling white clouds; see the fresh green of the forest and the terraced fields that are only found in the highlands.

Identifying ecotourism and community tourism as a sustainable direction in the district's socio-economic development, right from the beginning of the term, Ky Son district has had a project to orient and implement the development of tourism and services, exploiting the potential and advantages of the locality. In which, there is a project to build ecotourism and community tourism routes associated with spiritual tourism in the period of 2020 - 2025. There have been many contents and coordination between levels, sectors and localities to gradually develop Ky Son tourism, especially winter tourism. Along with the support of policies, individuals and organizations operating and doing business in tourism services in Ky Son are also increasingly dynamic, boldly investing, creating many new features for this destination.
Accommodation services are one of the important factors promoting the development of the local tourism industry, and are also the conditions to attract and retain tourists to come, experience and return many times. Therefore, more and more places providing professional tourism and accommodation services, imbued with the colors of the highlands covered with clouds all year round, appear in Ky Son.
On the experience route from Muong Xen town to the "paradise of mist and flowers of Muong Long", visitors can visit the pơmu forest with more than 5,000 trees, check-in with the green Shan tuyet tea hills and the roads full of white lau flowers. After stopping at the cafe halfway up the mountain in Trung Tam village, Huoi Tu commune, they will pass through the Xop Tu intersection market to reach Muong Long.
Visiting this small roadside market, tourists will enjoy fragrant, soft, and rich sticky rice cakes made from sticky rice grown by the locals; buy natural products from the mountains and forests, from the hard-working hands of the locals: taro, mustard greens, ginger, mac khen, vegetables, wild bamboo shoots, brocade, bamboo and rattan woven items...

At the homestays in Muong Long, visitors from far away will be served typical dishes grown and prepared by the locals themselves: smoked black pork, grilled with Mac Khen flowers; black chicken cooked with medicinal leaves, sticky rice, grilled fish, grilled black chicken with Mac Khen flowers with fresh mountain cucumbers, sweet and cool mustard greens... By the cozy fire, enjoying fragrant marinated and grilled pork and chicken, adding a cup of strong Cam wine, the cold of the mountains and forests suddenly becomes sweet. In Muong Long, one day is not enough to experience all the scenery here.

Currently, with the support and attention of all levels and sectors from the Central to the province in orienting the socio-economic development of the district in association with Resolution No. 39/NQ-TW on the development of Nghe An province, including the development orientation of Western Nghe An, Ky Son is making efforts to implement programs and projects in the right direction of sustainability, helping to exploit potentials and strengths, including developing service tourism in the direction of eco-tourism and community tourism associated with sustainable environmental protection.
