One of Coach Park Hang Seo’s three older brothers, Mr. Park Sam Seo (66 years old), is a regular visitor to the nursing home to look after his mother. Mr. Park suffers from dementia and cannot walk well due to poor health.
Mr. Park Sam Seo said that a few days ago, his younger brother called his mother to ask about her and tell her the news of his victory. Mrs. Park Soon Jung cried when she heard her youngest son's voice.
"I want to see my son. Please take me to Vietnam," said Park Soon Jung.
According to Mr. Park Sam Seo, the last time Coach Park Hang Seo visited his mother was before leaving Korea for Vietnam to take up a job. Before parting, his mother said that she really wanted to see her youngest son again while he was still lucid.
At the moment, Coach Park Hang Seo is the most interested figure in Korean football. He and U23 Vietnam have just written a fairy tale that shocked Asia when they won the right to enter the final of the continental arena. Coach Park's miracle became more prominent when his home team U23 Korea was eliminated in the semi-finals.
A few days ago, after the victory over U23 Iraq in the quarter-finals, Coach Park also burst into tears while talking about his mother.
"We have done something more special than anything we have done before. I miss my family, my mother, who is 97 years old and living alone in my hometown, my wife and my son. I want to share this happiness with them," Coach Park confided in the press conference room./.
