'Mine mother' who appropriated children was prosecuted

(Baonghean.vn) - For the act of carrying a 15-month-old child to raise, a 28-year-old woman was prosecuted for the crime of Child Abduction.

On January 13, Lieutenant Colonel To Van Hau - Head of Ky Son District Police said that the investigation agency decided to prosecute and temporarily detain Tran Thi Thanh Thuy (28 years old, residing in Vung Tau city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province) for the crime ofChild Abuseaccording to Article 120 - Penal Code.

Before that, around noon on January 6, in Muong Xen town (Ky Son district), the subject Tran Thi Thanh Thuy was identified as having carried Ha Manh Hung (15 months old) who was standing on the roadside and then ran away. A moment later, someone discovered her and chased her, cooperating with the police to arrest Thuy.

At the investigation agency, after many hours of denying the crime, Tran Thi Thanh Thuy confessed that she had a husband and children. She took a bus from Vung Tau city to Do Luong district bus station. On January 6, Thuy continued to take a bus from Do Luong to Ky Son district.

Around noon on January 6, as soon as she got off the bus in Muong Xen town, Thuy saw a little boy playing on the sidewalk. After walking around for a while to observe, waiting for the right moment, Thuy picked up the child and left the scene.

After running for about half a kilometer, knowing that someone was looking for her, the suspect carried the child to the kindergarten gate, pretending to be a “parent coming to drop off their child.” However, the teacher did not agree, so she continued to carry the child and run away, but was arrested by the people in coordination with the police.

“Mine mother” Thuy said that she saw the cute baby and intended to take it home to raise. The investigation agency also determined that Thuy committed the crime alone, without any other person involved.
