During the recent holiday, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Phuong – the mother of comedian Hoai Linh and singer Duong Trieu Vu – embarked on a meaningful trip back to her hometown in Central Vietnam. Instead of choosing luxurious vacations, the family decided to spend time connecting with their roots and fulfilling Ms. Le Phuong's long-held wishes.

The most emotionally moving moment of the trip was when Ms. Le Phuong reunited with her eighth younger sister in their hometown. Although both were of advanced age with gray hair, in Ms. Le Phuong's eyes, her sister would always remain the little child who needed protection.

This trip also held significant spiritual meaning as the entire family participated in the ancestral worship ceremony of the Nguyen Dinh clan. This was an event that Mrs. Le Phuong had eagerly awaited for months. To prepare, her children returned from the United States to help their mother fulfill her wish.
Besides the traditional family rituals, the family also took time to visit the grave of Mr. Vo Toa – the father of artist Hoai Linh. Although he has passed away, the unwavering love that Mrs. Le Phuong has for her husband continues to inspire admiration from her children.

Despite being 90 years old, Mrs. Le Phuong still surprises many with her optimistic spirit and sharp mind. Duong Trieu Vu proudly recounts that his mother can sing karaoke continuously for hours in Nha Trang, Khanh Hoa Province.
Notably, she is also very adept at new technologies, frequently conversing with artificial intelligence (AI). This sharp intellect is a great source of encouragement for her children.

Behind her current comfortable life lies a life full of sacrifice for Ms. Le Phuong. She once shared about the hardships she faced raising six children and two elderly mothers alone. Her family had to live in a makeshift pigsty in Dau Giay, Dong Nai Province, after leaving Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa Province in 1975.
Despite the difficult circumstances, she steadfastly prioritized her children's education. It was this sacrifice and noble character of their mother that helped the six siblings, including comedian Hoài Linh and singer Dương Triệu Vũ, achieve such remarkable success today.
