Following the launch of the Dimensity 8500 earlier this year, MediaTek continues to assert its position in the mid-range segment by releasing the upgraded Dimensity 8550. This processor is manufactured using the TSMC N4P (4nm) process, inheriting the high-performance core architecture but with deep refinements in artificial intelligence (AI) processing capabilities directly on the device.

The biggest difference between the Dimensity 8550 and its predecessor lies in its LLM Booster technology.
