The iPhone's intelligent energy storage mechanism
This operating principle is based on Apple not completely draining the battery when the phone automatically shuts down. Instead, the system retains a small amount of energy sufficient to maintain a power-saving standby mode (Power Reserve). To maintain connectivity without needing an internet connection or a large power source, Apple relies on a combination of two specialized chips:
