Tips for when children get lost in crowded places

In early June, the Clovis Police Department in California, USA, issued helpful advice for parents in case their children get lost.

Accordingly, the Clovis Police Department advises parents to write their phone number and address on their child's wrist and apply a small amount of liquid bandage (a solution applied to wounds to protect against water and dirt). This bandage will help prevent the phone number from washing off for several days, even if the child washes their hands or gets caught in the rain.

Furthermore, you should take photos of your child with your phone right before going out to accurately capture their hairstyle, clothes, and physical features.

Although you may feel uncomfortable thinking about that worst-case scenario, the above tip is very easy to implement to protect your child.

If your child is old enough to speak, teach them your phone number or address. And above all, always keep an eye on them and hold their hand when in crowded places.
