Surely most of us have encountered a situation where our motorbike suddenly ran out of gas and we had to push it on foot. If you always plan ahead and know a few tips below, you will no longer have to face such a "sweaty" situation.
Motorcycles often have small fuel tanks, and many models don’t even have a fuel gauge. This means that if you don’t plan ahead, you’ll find yourself running out of gas on the road.

The best way to do this is to take some time to review your route so you know where the fuel stations are, and to anticipate where you are most likely to run out of gas. Then, buy a few small, tightly-sealed water bottles, drink them all, fill them with gas, and take them with you. If you run out of gas along the way, you can refill the bottles to get you some extra fuel, but remember to throw them away after refueling.
The second way is to fill the tank completely. Many cars have a gas tank that is quite special in shape. When refueling, fill the tank completely and then wait 30 seconds. You will see the gas level start to drop as the air starts to be pushed out. Add more gas until it reaches the top of the tank again and you will have a completely full tank.
In case the fuel gauge is low and the car starts to jerk, drive in the most economical way. Close the throttle, move at a moderate speed, avoid sudden acceleration and braking, and keep the engine rpm as low as possible.
Also remember that there may be a small amount of fuel stuck in the nooks and crannies of the tank. What you need to do now is put the bike on its kickstand and tilt it in every direction possible. After a while, try to start the engine. If it starts, drive as economically as possible and hope to make it to the next fuel stop.

When traveling long distances, it is not a bad idea to have spare gas or a gas pump. |
In addition, prepare a small transparent plastic tube in the trunk of the car, about 1 meter long and rolled up. You will need it to siphon fuel from other vehicles. If you run out of gas on a long trip, take out the prepared plastic tube. Wave down another motorcyclist on the road and ask them for some gas.
Park the gas station higher than yours, then open the gas tank caps on both vehicles, insert one end of the hose into the gas station and use your mouth to suck the other end. Be careful when sucking, do not let the gas flow to your mouth; this is why you need the transparent hose. Then insert the other end into your gas station and let the gas flow. This is a “last resort” method, however, imagine you are on a deserted road and very far from a gas station, this method is a “lifesaver” for you.
