Mercedes launches special edition S-Class Coupe

At the upcoming 2017 Detroit Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz plans to introduce a special edition S-Class Coupe called 'Night Edition'.

The S-Class Coupe Night Edition is based on the S500 Coupe with a glossy black grille and a chrome-plated horizontal bar in the middle.

The car comes in a standard Selenite Grey Magno (matte black) paint job. True to its name, almost every detail of this luxury coupe is painted black, from the side mirrors to the door sills.

Mercedes S-Class Coupe Night Edition is rugged thanks to its matte black paint.

The S-Class Coupe Night Edition is equipped with 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels in high-gloss black. The front and rear fenders are also replaced with new AMG fenders.

To distinguish this special edition from the regular S-Class Coupe, the manufacturer attached the "Night Edition" badge on both sides near the front wheel arches.

Stepping into the cabin of the S-Class Coupe Night Edition, users will have the option of an interior in regular leather, Nappa leather or AMG Nappa leather in black-black, gray-black, brown-black or red-black. The steering wheel is also covered in AMG's premium Nappa leather with the lettering "Night Edition".

Under the hood is a 4.7-liter V8 engine that produces a maximum capacity of 455 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque. Thanks to that, the car can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds before reaching a speed of 250 km/h.

The car will be launched worldwide from early January 2017.

In addition, this accessory package is also extended to the S400 Coupe. The Mercedes S400 Coupe Night Edition has a 3.0-liter V6 engine with a capacity of 367 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. This power allows the S400 Coupe Night Edition to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and a maximum speed of 250 km/h.

The Mercedes S-Class Coupe Night Edition is expected to be available to customers in April next year. The price has not yet been revealed.
