Messi is angry with the domestic press.

Despite shining with a hat-trick against Ecuador, helping Argentina secure direct qualification to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, Lionel Messi still faced criticism.

Messi appeared displeased with the criticism from the Argentinian press.

The Argentine press claims that the Barcelona superstar is manipulating the national team, and that he has used his influence to force Jorge Sampaoli to develop tactics that serve his own interests.

Messi was furious with the accusation. “People are trying to fabricate things that aren’t true,” the five-time Ballon d’Or winner shared. “I’m all too familiar with these ridiculous things.”
