Microsoft Paint will no longer be available on Windows 10.
The Paint design and drawing software, which has been around for over 30 years, will no longer be updated and will be replaced by a new version called Paint 3D.
Microsoft Paint holds a special place for those familiar with computers. Paint can be used as design and drawing software for all sorts of activities, such as creating invitations. However, this 32-year-old software will soon disappear from new generation computers as Microsoft decides to discontinue its use.
Microsoft has just released a list of programs that will be removed in the next Windows 10 update, expected to be released this fall. Paint is described as “obsolete,” meaning it “will no longer be upgraded and may be removed in future updates.”

This doesn't mean the software will disappear by the end of this year. However, it won't be upgraded and will be replaced by another image editing software.
Launched in 1985 alongside the first version of Windows, Paint is an iconic software program from the era when computer science began to become widely available to the public. This software was frequently ridiculed for its limited features.
Being completely free, Paint could never compete with its rivals, which boasted more advanced features, including Adobe Photoshop, the most renowned software in the field of art.
Recently, Microsoft has attracted attention in this field with Surface Studio, a blend of a touchscreen tablet and a computer, featuring software for video editing, photo editing, and 3D processing.
Paint's fate seemed sealed a few months ago after the arrival of Paint 3D. This new version of the design software, which hadn't been updated since 2009, incorporates several features from its competitors in photo editing to provide a better user experience.
Paint 3D also boasts some unique options that competitors would envy, including the ability to use the software not only with a mouse but also with your finger or a stylus on mobile devices and touchscreens.
This software also allows users to transform their designs into 3D models. This feature can be useful for augmented reality programs. Like its predecessor, Paint 3D is also completely free.
