The mountainous areas of Nghe An continue to receive "golden" rain.
(Baonghean.vn) - From the afternoon of June 6th to the morning of June 7th, scattered rain fell in many mountainous districts. These "golden" rains created favorable conditions for people to begin their summer-autumn crop production.

According to reports from many areas, from the evening of June 6th to the morning of June 7th, rainfall of varying amounts occurred across the mountainous districts. In Quy Chau district, residents of Hoa Tien village, Chau Tien commune, reported that heavy rain began around 10:30 PM and had not stopped by this morning. According to Mr. Sam Van Sau, a resident of Hoa Tien 1 village, several roads in the commune were deeply flooded. The section crossing the Hoa Tien bridge was particularly deeply submerged, causing many people to be stranded while trying to reach the commune center. “I couldn’t go to work. Many people had to stop their vehicles on either side of the bridge,” a Chau Tien commune official reported.

In Tuong Duong district, rain fell in Tam Quang commune on the evening of June 6th, while rain began in Hoa Binh town and the communes of Yen Na and Luong Minh on the morning of June 7th. Even Ky Son district, the driest area in Nghe An province, received rain. In Quy Hop and Que Phong districts, heavy rains started from the afternoon of June 6th.

In many communes of Con Cuong district, continuous rain fell from the evening of June 6th until noon on June 7th. These heavy rains brought great joy to farmers who were preparing to plant their summer-autumn rice crop. Information from Luc Da commune indicates that this summer-autumn crop covers over 474 hectares of the commune's rice paddies. The rains arrived just as farmers were planting, ensuring there was no water shortage for production.
Ms. Vi Thi Dai, head of Bac Son village, Mon Son commune, said: "In our village, there are 30 hectares of corn that are currently tasseling. The rain has helped save this corn crop, preventing losses for the villagers."
