The State Bank said that based on the registration needs and the amount of souvenir money transferred, the agency will notify the specific amount of sale to organizations and individuals accordingly. This sale will be carried out until the amount of souvenir money delivered to the locality is exhausted. As for organizations, if they want to buy, they must submit a written request to buy souvenir money. The selling price of this type of money is 20,000 VND per sheet for the loose-leaf type, and 25,000 VND per sheet for the folder type (with a bound cover).

Speaking to VnExpress, the leader of the State Bank of Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City branch said that based on the registration demand, the agency will calculate the implementation plan and arrange the selling location so that organizations and individuals can transact most conveniently without affecting the implementation of other tasks of the State Bank of Vietnam in the city. According to this person, as of noon today, there have been many registrations to buy from individuals.

Previously, in Hanoi - where the 100-dong souvenir banknotes were sold from April 12 - there was an overload situation when hundreds of people stood in line for several hours at the State Bank headquarters waiting to buy the money.

The 100-dong commemorative banknote was issued to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the State Bank of Vietnam (May 6, 1951 - May 6, 2016). The commemorative banknote is larger than regular polymer banknotes (82x163mm), made of red cotton. The front features the national emblem, a portrait of President Ho Chi Minh, the words State Bank of Vietnam, and a denomination of 100 dong printed in bold with the logo of the 65th anniversary of the banknote and the signature of Governor Nguyen Van Binh.
