Opening up development opportunities for Vinh to become a coastal city in the future.
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of June 18th, the Provincial People's Committee held a working session to review and provide feedback on the detailed planning scheme at a scale of 1/2,000 for both sides of the road connecting Vinh and Cua Lo.

Attending the working session were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Central Committee of the Party, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; and Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, representatives from BRG Group presented the detailed planning scheme for the Vinh – Cua Lo Boulevard Project, which is over 10 km long and covers a planned area of 1,333 hectares.

The boulevard is intersected by three main roads and divided into five main areas: a commercial area, a training center, a residential area, a green space, and a commercial and tourism area. At the beginning of the planned route are two welcoming towers. Along the route are connections to the tram and bus lines, train stations, supermarkets, pedestrian walkways, and green spaces to add visual appeal.

With a vision of a green city, a smart city, and a tourist city, the land use structure is specifically planned as follows: commercial land 304 ha, tourism 113 ha, office 32 ha, residential land 453 ha, education 91 ha, healthcare over 6 ha, green space 189 ha, and infrastructure 247 ha.
Commenting on the project, leaders from the Department of Construction, Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc district, and other delegates agreed that the project was consistent with the previous planning concept; the division into 5 zones was appropriate. However, attention should be paid to the traffic arrangement at the intersection between Binh Minh road and the urban expansion section towards the sea; and a plan for connecting the new urban areas with the existing traditional residential areas should be developed...
Speaking at the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the feasibility of the project and agreed with the five subdivisions presented by the consulting unit.

Commenting on the planning, the Provincial Party Secretary suggested that for zone 1, the Vinh city center should be located at the beginning of the axis, in the gateway area, as this is the provincial capital; and that the planning for the headquarters of departments, finance, and banks should be moved to zone 2.
Regarding the fourth zone – a green buffer zone for recreation and sports – a rational distribution plan needs to be studied in order to develop an investment plan through socialized investment.

Zone 5 – currently the most challenging area in Cua Lo for urban expansion and modernization. The planning of this zone by the consulting unit has addressed current limitations and created a highlight for Cua Lo.
"The planning for the development of the Vinh - Cua Lo axis is one of the important axes for developing Vinh into a coastal city in the future," the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged the efforts of the BRG Group's consulting team regarding the planning project. He requested the consulting unit to finalize the project based on the feedback from the delegates and conduct on-site inspections.
