Opening the way to develop Vinh into a coastal city in the future

Perspective of planning project Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard

Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Dac Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Xuan Duong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.

At the beginning of the working session, BRG Group representative presented the detailed planning plan of Vinh - Cua Lo Boulevard Project with a length of more than 10 km, planning area of ​​1,333 hectares.

The avenue has 3 intersecting traffic routes and is divided into 5 main areas including: commercial area, training center, residential area, green space and commercial area combined with tourism. At the beginning of the planned route, there are 2 welcome towers, on the route there are train and bus connection points, stations, supermarkets, walking corridors and green spaces to create more highlights.

With the vision of a green city, a smart city, a tourist city, the land use structure is specifically planned: commercial land 304 hectares, tourism 113 hectares, office 32 hectares, residential land 453 hectares, education 91 hectares, healthcare more than 6 hectares, trees 189 hectares, infrastructure 247 hectares.

Commenting on the project, leaders of the Department of Construction, Cua Lo town, Nghi Loc district and delegates said that the project is consistent with the previous planning idea; the division into 5 zones is appropriate. However, it is necessary to pay attention to traffic arrangement at the intersection between Binh Minh street and the urban expansion section towards the sea; have a plan to connect the new urban areas with the existing traditional residential areas...

Speaking at the working session, the Provincial Party Secretary highly appreciated the feasibility of the project and agreed with the 5 sub-zones as presented by the consulting unit.

Commenting on the planning, the Provincial Party Secretary proposed that for subdivision 1, it is more suitable to arrange Vinh city center at the head of the axis, the gateway area because this is the capital of the province; Putting the planning of headquarters of departments, branches, finance and banking into subdivision 2.

For the 4th subdivision - a green buffer zone, serving entertainment and sports, it is necessary to study reasonable distribution, from which to have an investment plan in the form of socialization.

The 5th subdivision - the most difficult position of Cua Lo at present in expanding and modernizing the coastal urban area. The planning of this subdivision by the consulting unit has solved the current limitations, creating a highlight for Cua Lo.

"The planning for the development of the Vinh - Cua Lo axis is one of the important axes to develop Vinh into a coastal city in the future" - the Provincial Party Secretary emphasized.

Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong acknowledged the efforts of the BRG Group's Advisory Board for the planning project. He requested the consulting unit to go to the field to complete the project based on the comments of the delegates.
