MobiFone wishes to participate in building smart cities through the application of information technology.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of September 20th, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, chaired a working session with MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation..

Attending the working session were leaders from various departments and agencies in the province. Representing MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation were: Mr. Nguyen Quang Tien - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Corporation's Party Committee, and Mr. Le Quang Minh - Director of MobiFone Service Company Region 6.

At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tien, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, reported to the leaders of Nghe An province on the situation of network infrastructure investment and the results of production and business development. From 2015 to the present, MobiFone has developed 156 base stations and coordinated with the People's Committee of Nghe An province to implement the Social Welfare and Community Development Program with a total value of over 2.2 billion VND.

In Party building work, the subordinate units have closely followed and effectively implemented the directives, resolutions, and documents of the Central Committee and Party committees at all levels, and have thoroughly disseminated, publicized, and provided complete, accurate, and timely information to cadres and Party members.

Although positive results have been achieved in coordinating the implementation of the signed agreements between MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Nghe An Province, some difficulties and obstacles still remain, such as: some locations for BTS stations; and the project for 23 environmentally friendly towers in the city has not yet had its locations approved.

Furthermore, MobiFone wishes to be given the opportunity to participate in building smart cities through the application of IT in providing IT services and solutions to Party and government agencies in Nghe An.

After hearing reports from relevant departments and agencies and MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation, on behalf of the provincial leadership, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, highly appreciated the results of the cooperation program between MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Nghe An Province, and affirmed that the telecommunications and information technology sector is one of the key areas prioritized for development in Nghe An Province.

To effectively implement the coordination regulations, in the coming period, MobiFone needs to continue investing in infrastructure development, especially in industrial parks and high-tech zones; deploy shared underground infrastructure and invest in building transmission infrastructure in the province; participate in building smart cities through the application of information technology; and actively participate in social welfare and educational support activities.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee pledged to continue paying attention to and supporting the Corporation's investment in Nghe An to ensure smooth and effective operations. He also requested relevant departments and agencies to actively coordinate with MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation to effectively implement the cooperation regulations between the Corporation and Nghe An province.
