MobiFone will join Nghe An province in building a smart city.

After two years of implementing the cooperation agreement, the working relationship between the Party Committee of MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and its affiliated units with the province has become closely intertwined; the local Party committee has shown genuine interest in the overall activities and production and business operations of MobiFone Corporation's affiliated units.

Thanks to favorable conditions in infrastructure development, MobiFone's network now covers most wards and communes in the province. With 276 base stations installed, MobiFone's network quality remains stable, ensuring the best service for customers even during storms and floods. At the same time, MobiFone has also provided many services to customers and supported local authorities by utilizing a portion of its infrastructure to support national defense and security, as well as for community support and regional economic development.

During the same period, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation contributed over 2.27 billion VND to support social welfare activities in the province and fulfilled all its obligations to the state budget.

Speaking at the meeting, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Xuan Son acknowledged and highly appreciated the results of the two-year cooperation program between MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Nghe An province, and affirmed that the telecommunications and information technology sector is one of the important areas prioritized for development in Nghe An province.

In the coming period, MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation and Nghe An province will continue to extensively implement the contents of the signed cooperation agreement for mutual development. This will focus on developing infrastructure and building smart cities through the application of information technology.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee instructed the Provincial People's Committee to direct relevant departments and agencies to coordinate in resolving difficulties and creating favorable conditions for MobiFone to adjust its planning and develop infrastructure while ensuring legal compliance; and to support the Corporation's investment in Nghe An in a smooth and effective manner. At the same time, conditions should be created for MobiFone to participate in building smart cities through the application of information technology in various fields; and to provide information technology services and solutions to Party and government agencies and public service units in the province.
