The unexpected relationship between the duo Hong Dang and Manh Truong.
Hong Dang and Manh Truong are so close both on and off screen that their colleagues at VFC even jokingly call them each other's 'lovers'.
Attending a VTV artist exchange program, Hong Dang and Manh Truong were once again seen together backstage. Their close friendship, both on and off screen, is well-known. To the point that their colleagues at VFC even enthusiastically nicknamed them "lovers."
Dressed in elegant suits, the two heartthrobs of Vietnamese cinema captivated female hearts as usual. While Mạnh Trường remained calm and composed, as is typical of his on-screen personas, Hồng Đăng was a bit more playful, occasionally interrupting to tease his close friend.

It seems like your colleagues call you two a couple?
- Hong Dang:laugh
- Manh Truong:No, that's not right. You're mistaken. Actually, Dang likes another girl who is also named Truong!(laugh)
- Hong Dang:laugh
Being such close friends and having acted together in so many films, have the two of you ever had any conflicts?
- Manh Truong:Fortunately, nothing like that has ever happened so far. Not only with Dang, but also with other colleagues, I get along very well. Because in our profession, the most important thing is a cheerful atmosphere; only then can cooperation be smooth and successful. If there are disagreements, it will be very difficult to work together.
So, do you see any flaws in each other?
- Hong Dang:I see that the school has only bad grades.(laugh).
ButManh TruongUgly in every way.(laugh)
ButHong DangI was just joking. Actually, we're lucky because my brother and I get along really well, sharing similar interests in technology and gaming. So there's almost no conflict or disagreement between us. Oh, but what I hate most is that Truong is taller than me.(laugh).

Hong Dang used a mobile app to "do makeup" for Manh Truong.
The New Year is just around the corner, what are your plans for this year's Tet holiday?
- Manh Truong:I'm currently filming 'A Lifetime of Grudges' Part 2, and it will probably only finish after Tet (Lunar New Year). Preparing for Tet with my family will be more hectic than in previous years.
- Hong Dang:That's right. This year's Tet (Lunar New Year) is very special because we're filming right up until New Year's Eve, so preparing for Tet will probably be mostly my wife's responsibility. Every year I'm in charge of buying peach blossoms and kumquats for the whole family, but this year I'm not sure what will happen, it depends on the filming schedule.
- Manh Truong:I really enjoy the atmosphere in the days leading up to Tet, when everyone is busy shopping for supplies and cleaning their houses.
- Hong Dang:Actually, Truong meant that he liked seeing people rushing around and being busy, while he himself could take his time.(laugh)
- Manh Truong:Usually, during Tet (Vietnamese New Year), I want to take the whole family on a trip, because I want to make my wife and the kids happy. Unfortunately, I've almost never been able to fulfill this wish.
- Hong Dang:I'm a little luckier than Truong. Because, as is customary every year, around the 26th of Tet (Lunar New Year), my whole family leaves the capital. It's just a short trip to the northern region, but it's enough to relax and get a change of scenery. My family believes that Tet doesn't need to be overly elaborate; just having friends and family come to visit and gather for a meal is enough to make us happy.
Since getting married, especially since becoming a father, how has Tet (Vietnamese New Year) changed for you guys?
- Hong Dang:Before, my life was very individualistic. I lived by the motto "it's not over until it's over," freely focusing on work or having fun until New Year's Eve. After getting married, I go out less. Life is no longer just about myself, but about the whole family. In the days leading up to Tet, my wife and I shop for clothes and toys for the children together.
- Manh Truong:When we were just the two of us, our mindset was still very youthful. But after having children, everything changed completely. Not only during Tet (Lunar New Year), but everyday life was also turned upside down. Taking care of the house became more important, and I became a perfectionist when it came to my family.
Thank you both for the conversation. Wishing you both a happy and successful New Year!
