Orange peel can be used as a substitute for tangerine peel, but it is less effective. It is used as a digestive stimulant and to treat stomach pain, bloating, heartburn, and diarrhea.

Fresh orange peel can be rubbed on the face to help treat acne. Drinking boiled orange peel water helps increase bowel motility and prevent constipation.

In addition, dried orange peels can be placed in sachets and hung in bedrooms, kitchens, or wardrobes; this helps promote restful sleep, repel mosquitoes, and purify the air.

- Orange leaves are used to treat ear discharge that is yellow or bloody. Orange leaves are often used to extract essential oil, and orange blossom water is used in the preparation of medicines.

Chemical composition of oranges: Fresh oranges contain 87.5% water, 0.9% protein, 8.4% carbohydrates, 1.3% organic acids, 1.6% cellulose, 34mg% calcium, 23mg% iron, 0.4mg% caroten, and 40mg% vitamin C. The fruit is a source of vitamin C, which can reach up to 150mg in 100g of juice.

- Treating constipation:Cook 250g of orange peel in 2 bowls of water until soft, and consume throughout the day.

- Treating edema in postpartum women:Dried orange peel, ground into powder, is mixed with 30 ml of rice wine and taken three times a day for 3-5 days.
