Many students arrived late for the first subject of the high school graduation exam.
This morning (June 27th), at 70 examination centers across the province, candidates officially began the first subject of the 2024 High School Graduation Examination in cool weather.
At the Nam Dan 1 High School examination center, candidates arrived early in the morning to prepare for the first exam. This year, this center has 734 candidates, making it the largest examination center in Nam Dan district in terms of the number of candidates. In addition to students from the school, there are more than 200 students from two private schools, Mai Hac De High School and Sao Nam High School.

Entering the first exam, the candidates were quite relaxed. Candidate Nguyen Thanh Thao, a student from Nam Dan 1 High School, said: "I'm taking the D-block exam, so Literature is the subject for university admission. I've already used the early admission method and been accepted into the Chinese Language major, so I'm not too stressed. However, I will still try to get a high score to increase my chances of being admitted to other universities."

At the exam center at Nguyen Duy Trinh High School (Nghi Loc), on the first day of the exam, quite a few candidates arrived late. Some even hadn't arrived at the exam center 15 minutes before the exam papers were distributed. To prevent this situation, the school had compiled all the candidates' phone numbers beforehand, so those who arrived late were contacted by phone to check their arrival and be notified in time for the exam.

Teacher Nguyen Van Thanh – Vice Principal of Nguyen Duy Trinh High School and Deputy Head of this examination center – said: In addition to students from his school, this examination center also has candidates from Nguyen Thuc Tu High School.
Yesterday, when the students arrived to register, we explained the exam regulations and reminded them to strictly adhere to the rules. We also requested that the invigilators carefully check the attendance upon entering the examination room, and report any students who arrive late immediately so that contingency plans can be made.

Meanwhile, Le Thi Mai An, a student from Nguyen Thuc Tu High School, said she has completed the procedures to study in Canada and will leave this summer. Although not overly worried about the exam results, she still wants to achieve a good score. She has spent 12 years in high school, and this is her final exam. Compared to her classmates, her academic ability isn't very good, so she will have to work very hard. She hopes to get 6 points in each subject.
