Monaco won their third consecutive match in Ligue 1.

In the early hours of August 19th, striker Radamel Falcao scored the only goal in the 78th minute, helping defending champions Monaco defeat Metz 1-0 away from home in the early match of the third round of the French Championship (Ligue 1).

Monaco's goal came after a quick attack through the center. Rachid Ghezza executed a delicate chip that bypassed the entire Metz defense, allowing Falcao to sprint forward and beat goalkeeper Didillon from close range, scoring the only goal of the match.

This was the third consecutive win for coach Leonardo Jardim's team since the start of the season. With this victory, Monaco solidified their position at the top of the table with 9 points. Meanwhile, Metz remained at the bottom of the table with no points after three consecutive defeats.
