(Baonghean.vn) - Each person has a different job, lives in different regions, but the collaborators of Nghe An Newspaper always have one thing in common, which is the passion for the newspaper pages and the desire to accompany Nghe An Newspaper on the development journey.

Vo Thu Huong: Trust and cherish

As a long-time contributor to Nghe An Newspaper, writer Vo Thu Huong - a native of Nghe An, currently lives and works in Ho Chi Minh City. Sharing her thoughts about the years of collaborating with Nghe An Newspaper, writerVo Thu Huongrecalls: “In my souvenir photos, there was a precious photo. The photo of a little girl with her hair in two braids, standing opposite the poet Minh Hue - the author of the poem “Tonight Uncle Ho doesn’t sleep” which I had just learned in the textbook at that time. In her hand was a heavy bouquet of flowers and a certificate of merit from Nghe An Newspaper. That year I was in 8th grade, and was an outstanding contributor of the newspaper. That was the first time I met a poet in a school book, full of excitement. That was also a memorable memory of my early collaboration with the newspaper.

Quang Trung Secondary School (Vinh City) where I used to study is located far away.editorial officeNghe An Newspaper (old) is only a few dozen steps away. At first, I would hang around in front of the editorial office to read the newspaper pages posted in the lobby area. Then I would hang around to get to know and submit articles. The initial rate was... submitting 50 articles and only getting 1 published, then it gradually decreased as thanks to writing for the newspaper, I got to know and learn from those who went before me, and was encouraged and guided through each page. I received a lot of love and learned many things both inside and outside the writing pages.

I have kept in touch and collaborated with the newspaper ever since. This morning, while writing these little thoughts, I happened to read on Facebook a brother who recalled the heartfelt verses of poet Bui Giang: “Asked: where are you from/ Answer: I have been in my hometown for a long time.People like me truly belong to our homeland. No matter where we are or what we do, our thoughts about our homeland are always there. Being able to express those thoughts in books and newspapers is a joy. Therefore, for me, writing articles to send to Nghe An newspaper for my relatives, friends, and fellow countrymen in my homeland to read is also a happiness.

It is also the motivation that comes from the very dedicated editors. It is the deep sympathy with Ms. Pham Thuy Vinh when the two sisters can share with each other many joys and sorrows on the page and in life. The warm encouragement of Mr. Dao Tuan every time he asks for articles for collaborators. The brother that I have never met in real life but still imagines has a smile and gentle, bright eyes...

From those newspapers and the dedicated and professional editors who have accompanied me, they have contributed to my transformation from a little girl who used to write poetry and prose to a professional journalist and writer. That is a great spiritual encouragement for writers who are far from home but still think of their homeland like me. Thank you Nghe An Newspaper for being appreciated.

CTV Nhat Thanh: Living with passion for photography

This year, 55-year-old Nhat Thanh, whose full name is Ho Nhat Thanh, is known as a photo contributor for Nghe An Newspaper. He currently works at the Center for Culture, Sports & Communications of Quynh Luu District. Taking on this job, his passion for photography from his student days has the opportunity to be promoted, and from here he began to collaborate with Nghe An Newspaper.
Contributor Nhat Thanh confided that he started collaborating around 1990. However, the collaboration was not frequent, partly because the agency was busy, partly because sending collaborative works was not convenient "within a click". When Nghe An Newspaper published a daily newspaper, then an electronic newspaper,... he had the opportunity to collaborate with the newspaper more often, truly living out his passion for photography.

With the advantage of taking photos of landscapes, festivals, regional customs and practices..., the works of contributor Nhat Thanh are currently "dominating" quite a lot in the Vo Xu Nghe column - a column that according to most readers is a "specialty" of Nghe An Newspaper. And almost all of his photos are highly appreciated by the editorial board for their ideas, content and technical and artistic qualities. Contributor Nhat Thanh said, "Although I am from Nghe An and often travel here and there like me, when reading articles and looking at photo series in the "Vo Xu Nghe" column, I still feel that I know very little about my hometown, always feeling strange and interesting. That is why, through each series of photos, I want to introduce to everyone the landscapes and customs of my hometown, so that through that, everyone can understand and love my Nghe An more."

Because of that passion and concern, and at the same time understanding the somewhat "perfectionist" requirements from the editorial office, each work of Nhat Thanh before reaching readers is a whole process of creation. For example, the photo series "Where Salt Workers Need Sunshine" was taken over 2 summers, with the early morning and late afternoon with the people in the salt fields. The photo series later won third prize in the "Golden Moment" contest in 2019 organized by Nghe An Newspaper. Or to get the photo "Helping You Go to School", the author had to go all the way to Nhon Mai Border Guard Station (Tuong Duong) and for nearly a week, every night, he had to go with the teachers in green uniforms to take a satisfactory photo. This is the photo that won second prize in the Golden Moment of Nghe An Newspaper in 2020.

According to Nhat Thanh, “Golden Moments” organized annually by Nghe An Newspaper truly creates a playground and also a creative motivation for those who are passionate about photography. Every time he wins an award, he feels the need to think harder and explore more to have better quality photos. According to him, the photo section of Nghe An Newspaper is increasingly focused on and of better quality. However, as a contributor, in addition to taking photos according to his interests, he hopes to have guidance from the editorial office so that his creative works are on the required topics.

Correspondent Dinh Tuan: Cultural officer "intoxicated" by journalism

Vo Dinh Tuan has been collaborating with Nghe An Newspaper for more than 5 years. He works at the Center for Culture, Sports and Communications of Tuong Duong district. As a cultural officer, but from his hobby of reading books and newspapers, from which he likes to experience, likes to take photos to send to newspapers, Dinh Tuan gradually became attached to Nghe An Newspaper. From the early days of sending only photos with captions about cultural and artistic activities of the people, up to now, in addition to updating current news in the area, photo series showing many angles, he also has articles about the fields of economy, culture, society, and life of residents in the district.

To balance the work of a cultural officer with his passion for journalism, Dinh Tuan said that on weekends or when he goes on business trips, he always brings his "companion", a camera. Accordingly, he is not afraid to take pictures, learn, or take notes... According to Dinh Tuan, "Although I am an amateur journalist, after more than 5 years of working, I have felt and understood a part of journalism. This is not a simple job of holding a pen and a camera, but it is a profession of creativity and thinking, requiring true passion. It is also from this job that I have many opportunities to experience reality, meet people and gain a lot of knowledge to serve my professional work."

Dinh Tuan said that in recent years, Nghe An Newspaper has invested in and carefully prepared both content and form in all publications from daily newspapers, Nghe An Weekend, Ethnic - Mountainous Special Page, Nghe An Electronic Newspaper, and now even has a YouTube channel. It is worth noting that in the era of competitive journalism, Nghe An Newspaper still maintains its purpose. The articles and special pages in the newspaper are oriented, not sensational or eye-catching. That is also why the requirements for the team of collaborators are also "stricter" from the research stage to the way of presenting news and articles.

“However, thanks to the somewhat “strict” comments and adjustments from the newspaper’s editors, my news and articles have more depth.”

Correspondent Dinh Tuan also hopes that the newspaper will publish more activities at the grassroots level, specifically at the commune level. Because in reality, even though it is a short news, it is a source of encouragement and motivation for cadres and people to be more active in their work as well as in labor and production.
