Recognizing that business development depends on society, Nghe An Sugar Company pays close attention to participating in social activities (charity, humanitarian aid). Every year, the company organizes community support programs such as building "Great Solidarity" houses, establishing a "Scholarship Fund," and "Tet for the Poor," with a total expenditure exceeding 1 billion VND annually.

In particular, contributing to the future of the "owners" of the sugarcane-growing region, for the past 16 years (from 2001 to the present), the company has implemented many specific and effective educational support programs. Previously, schools in the sugarcane-growing area only used black-painted cement blackboards, which were difficult to see and quickly deteriorated. The company has provided 250 anti-glare magnetic blackboards. Accompanying the children as they enter first grade each year, the company has provided each child in the sugarcane-growing area with a school bag and all necessary school supplies. Over the past 16 years, a total of 25,726 children have received new school bags with a total value of 2.8 billion VND.

The program's significance and effectiveness are immense, so despite its ups and downs, successive CEOs have been wholeheartedly committed to its implementation. For three years (from 2011 to 2013), the company organized a scholarship program for underprivileged students, providing 200 million VND each year. In 2006, to celebrate its 10th anniversary, the company allocated 32,000 USD to provide scholarships to poor students in sugarcane-growing areas, at a rate of 5 million VND per year per student, lasting throughout their university years.

Thanks to this scholarship, many students have matured and become independent in life. For example, Phan Van Hoa, from Chau Dinh (Quy Hop), came from a family facing extreme hardship, seemingly unable to afford his education. Thanks to this meaningful scholarship program, Hoa graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture (Vinh University). Now, Hoa is the Vice Chairman of Bao Thang commune (Ky Son district), enjoying the trust and respect of the local people. Many other young people have also confidently embarked on their careers with the initial support of the company, such as Nguyen Thi Yen, from Nghia Duc (Nghia Dan district), who graduated from the University of Agriculture 1 and now works at the TH Group's clean vegetable company; and Hoang Thi Trung, who works at the Quy Chau District People's Committee...

From 2004 to the present, the company has supported the construction of 91 solidarity houses (equivalent to 700 million VND). For the past 16 years (since 2001), the company has supported road repairs for localities in the raw material area, averaging 1 billion VND per year (reaching 15.7 billion VND). Since 2015, the company has invested in purchasing machinery to level roads free of charge for the people, and supported the paving of provincial road 598 with 500 million VND each year for 4 years (2002-2006). In addition, the company also gives gifts to the poor during Tet (Lunar New Year).

In 2015, 500 million VND was given as gifts to poor families during Tet (Lunar New Year), and in 2016, 300 million VND was distributed. Furthermore, many other poor households received direct support from the company. Mrs. Lim Thi Lan (Bai Tuc hamlet, Chau Hanh commune, Quy Chau district), whose husband passed away and who has three young children, faced extreme hardship and received 10 million VND in support.
