(Baonghean) - Major Tran Van Tung participated in the Ho Chi Minh Campaign, fighting the fiercest battle at Xuan Loc. He was also part of the first contingent that launched a massive attack on the last stronghold of the Khmer Rouge to liberate Phnom Penh. During the Northern border war, he also fought for 10 years on the Vi Xuyen front.
