A Deputy Editor-in-Chief had his Press Card revoked.

On October 13, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan signed and issued Decision No. 1750/QD-BTTTT, revoking the Press Card of Mr. Ho Minh Son, working at Mekong Times Newspaper.

This is based on Decision No. 37/HKTVLC dated October 3, 2017 of the Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia Economic Cooperation Development Association on disciplining leaders of Mekong Times Newspaper and Decision No. 478/B.TBMK dated October 3, 2017 of Mekong Times Newspaper...

The authorities decided to revoke Mr. Ho Minh Son's press card number IBT03401 for the 2016-2020 term issued by Mekong Times Newspaper, because Mr. Son violated point c, clause 6, Article 28 of the 2016 Press Law, was dismissed from the position of Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Head of the Mekong Times Newspaper's representative office in the Southern region by the governing body, and was fired by Mekong Times Newspaper.

The Ministry of Information and Communications requested the Editor-in-Chief of Mekong Times to revoke Mr. Ho Minh Son's Press Card and submit it to the Press Department before October 31.
