Mr. Dam: 'Chu Dang Khoa is suffering because he's infatuated with Ha Ho'

Dam Vinh Hung believes that Cuong Do La is suitable to be a long-term friend of Ha Ho, while tycoon Chu Dang Khoa is someone who is madly in love with her.

On the afternoon of July 26th, Dam Vinh Hung held a press conference regarding his Saigon Bolero & Hung live show, which will take place in both Ho Chi Minh City (August 5th) and Hanoi (August 26th). Among the guest performers for this project by the 'King of Vietnamese Music' are Huong Lan, Le Quyen, Quang Le, Hoai Lam... but Ho Ha, his close friend whom he considers like a younger sister, is conspicuously absent. In previous live shows, the 'single mother' was always a favorite of Mr. Dam for duets. Regarding the speculation that their relationship had soured because the singer of "Say Tinh" had previously revealed that Ho Ha had broken up with businessman Chu Dang Khoa, Mr. Dam denied it.

"There's nothing going on between me and Ha, everything's perfectly normal. Ha would never dare to be angry with me because we love each other very much. Moreover, those two broke up before Tet, and I wrote the status in April. I was the one who found out later than many others." The male singer recounted that he learned about Ha Ho's breakup with tycoon Chu Dang Khoa during a chance conversation with her and designer Ly Qui Khanh about a performance abroad. When he asked Ha Ho who she would be performing with, the female singer admitted that she had just gone through a breakup.

Mr. Đàm stated that, in her relationship with tycoon Chu Đăng Khoa, if the singer had loved him for money, she wouldn't have taken the initiative to break up with him.

Commenting on his close friend's personality, Mr. Dam said: "Ha lives instinctively, loves wholeheartedly. All the men who come to Ha are captivated by her intelligence. Ha is a female singer that I fear because of her intellect. I've never bowed down to any 'girly girl,' but I admire Ha. Ha is very subtle, she doesn't jump around aggressively to grab things for her child. Ha knows how to keep people captivated. People are captivated by her for that. As for me, I feel affection for Ha, not infatuation."

According to the "king of Vietnamese music," because Ho Ha is so intelligent and sharp-witted, it's difficult for her to have a long-term relationship with any one man. "Ho Ha needs to find someone who is intellectually superior, someone who can control and manipulate her. For me, Ho Ha is number one; I've never seen a young woman as clever as her."

Having close relationships with the men Ha Ho has dated, Mr. Dam commented: "The person suitable for Ha to be a long-term friend is Cuong Do La because their way of interacting is great. As for the person who is infatuated with Ha and suffers because of her, it's Khoa. Poor thing, Khoa chased after Ha everywhere, truly loved her. I'm saying this so the public knows that if Ha was only in love for money, she would never have broken up with Khoa. Everyone is mistaken. If it were me, I wouldn't necessarily let go because he both loved me and had money. So Ha was very brave to proactively break up with him."

The "King of Vietnamese Music" also believes that Cuong Do La is the right person to be a long-term friend of Ha Ho.

When asked about the possibility of Ho Ha and her ex-husband Cuong Do La reuniting, Mr. Dam laughed and said that if this happened, showbiz news would "explode." He believes that both Ho Ha and Cuong Do La are civilized people who, despite no longer being husband and wife, still treat each other as good friends. In Mr. Dam's music video "Because You Are a Prince Charming" earlier this year, both Ho Ha and Cuong Do La agreed to appear as guest stars. Sharing the secret to persuading the couple to star in his music video, the singer of "Say Tinh" revealed: "When Ha met Cuong, I was the one who helped Cuong choose the diamond ring to give to Ha." In addition, he knew how to arrange the filming so that the two wouldn't "run into" each other. In the singer's eyes, Cuong Do La has a very charming personality and is "a small man who knows how to have fun and play fair."

Having known Ha Ho for many years and understanding her personality well, Mr. Dam felt that she was unlucky in love. He recalled that the first time she accompanied him to America for a performance, because he didn't see her with a boyfriend, he "encouraged" her to try and woo someone. "I told her, 'Ha, you have to find someone worthy. Wear shorts, a tank top, tie your hair up high, and come with me to Hollywood. I'm sure a director will like you.'
