Truong Bon, My Son commune, Do Luong district, was a battleground during the resistance war against the US, where thousands of cadres, soldiers, and Youth Volunteers bravely sacrificed their lives while carrying out their duties to ensure supplies for the Southern battlefield. On October 31, 1968, a fierce bombing raid by the US imperialists on Truong Bon resulted in the deaths of 13 soldiers from Company 317 of the Nghe An Youth Volunteer Force. This tragic event created a legendary Truong Bon, a significant site for educating future generations about revolutionary traditions and patriotism.

Next, the delegation visited and offered incense and flowers at the Vietnam-Laos International Martyrs' Cemetery, the resting place of more than 10,000 Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed their lives while fulfilling their noble international duty in Laos, for the independence and peace of the two brotherly countries of Vietnam and Laos.
