MU "auctions" coach, Tuchel ready to go to Old Trafford
Erik ten Hag, despite helping MU win the FA Cup against Manchester City, is now facing the risk of losing his job as the "Red Devils" fall to 14th place.
Ten Hag: from the peak to the brink
Last season, United finished eighth, their worst ever Premier League finish. However, an emotional FA Cup final victory over arch-rivals Manchester City helped Ten Hag retain the board’s confidence. But that was not enough to secure his future. United had been quietly linked with other candidates earlier in the summer, and now, with the club down to 14th, Ten Hag’s future is in doubt.

Who will replace Ten Hag?
The list of candidates to replace Ten Hag currently includes the likes of Gareth Southgate, Graham Potter, and Massimiliano Allegri. However, former Chelsea and Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is leading the race. According to the Manchester Evening News, Tuchel is seen as an attractive option for the United owners, especially after he left Bayern Munich at the end of last season after just 15 months in charge.
Tuchel approached Man United early?
According to a club source, Tuchel held discussions with Man United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe earlier this year about becoming manager at Old Trafford. And this time, if the board decide to act, Ten Hag may have to leave to make way for the German strategist.
Manchester United are facing a major turning point as the Premier League season continues. With the team's form not improving, a change in management could be inevitable. Will Ten Hag stay or will Tuchel become the new "savior" at the Theatre of Dreams? Only time will tell.
