MU reaches personal agreement with Portuguese football prodigy.
Manchester United are reportedly close to reaching a personal agreement with Portuguese football prodigy Geovany Quenda.

Geovany Quenda, despite only making his first-team debut for Sporting this season, has quickly made a strong impression with his brilliant performances. The 17-year-old is a promising and versatile right winger. Under the guidance of coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting, Quenda has quickly secured a starting place in the team. To date, he has scored 2 goals in 37 appearances.
After joining Sporting's academy from Benfica in 2019, Quenda was hailed by experts as one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Manager Ruben Amorim is planning to rebuild Manchester United to fit his familiar 3-4-3 formation. During the January transfer window, he brought in left-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. With the addition of Quenda, both flanks of the "Red Devils" would function more smoothly according to Amorim's vision.
Currently, Man Utd are believed to have successfully persuaded Quenda to agree to personal terms. The player will officially turn 18 next April, and all agreements are expected to be finalized this summer.
Journalist Ben Jacobs told talkSPORT: "Quenda has basically agreed to the personal terms offered by Manchester United. He's waiting to see if the club can agree on a transfer fee with Sporting or if they have to wait until the summer. United are currently aiming for a price of around €40 million (£33 million)."
"Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon wants at least €60 million (£50 million). Quenda has a release clause of up to €100 million (£83 million). So, if Man Utd can complete this deal for under €60 million (£50 million), that would be a huge success."
"This is not only a potential signing for the present and future, and a player that Amorim really knows well, but also a deal that MU can complete without being overcharged too much, unlike the case of Rasmus Hojlund, where MU had to pay more than the initial price."
