MU reaches personal agreement with Portuguese football prodigy
MU are said to have reached a personal agreement with young Portuguese football talent Geovany Quenda.

Geovany Quenda, who has only just made his debut for Sporting this season, has already made a strong impression with his brilliant performances. The 17-year-old is a promising and versatile right winger. Under the guidance of coach Ruben Amorim at Sporting, Quenda has quickly established himself as a regular in the squad. He has scored 2 goals in 37 appearances to date.
After joining Sporting's academy from Benfica in 2019, Quenda has been rated by experts as one of the most promising young players in Europe.
Coach Ruben Amorim is planning to rebuild Man Utd to fit his familiar 3-4-3 formation. In the January transfer window, he brought in left-back Patrick Dorgu from Lecce. If Quenda is added, both flanks of the "Red Devils" will operate more smoothly according to Amorim's intentions.
Man Utd are now said to have successfully convinced Quenda to agree personal terms. The player will officially turn 18 next April and any deal is expected to be "finalized" this summer.
Journalist Ben Jacobs told talkSPORT: "Quenda has agreed personal terms in principle with United. He is waiting to see if the club can agree a transfer fee with Sporting or if he has to wait until the summer. United are currently looking at around €40m (£33m)."
"Meanwhile, Sporting Lisbon want at least €60m (£50m). Quenda has a release clause of up to €100m (£83m). So if Man Utd can complete this deal for less than €60m (£50m), it will be a huge success."
"Not only is this a potential signing for the present and future, and a player that Amorim really knows, but it is also a deal that United can do without being forced to pay too much, unlike the case of Rasmus Hojlund, when United had to pay more than the original price."
