MU targets both Dani Olmo and Ederson for the winter transfer window
With the January transfer window approaching, MU is actively looking for new faces to strengthen the squad under coach Ruben Amorim.
Manchester United are having a challenging season under new manager Ruben Amorim. In order to revive the team, the Red Devils are expected to be active in the January transfer market, with Dani Olmo and Ederson being the two most notable names on the target list.
Dani Olmo is a golden opportunity at no cost
According to the Daily Mail, MU is considering the possibility of selling Marcus Rashford for 40 million pounds to raise funds for transfer deals. One of the most attractive options for this team is Dani Olmo - Barcelona's attacking midfielder, who is facing an unstable legal situation at the Catalan club.

Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig this summer for around £50m. However, financial complications have meant he has only been registered on a temporary basis. The Spaniard's registration expires at the end of December and if not renewed, Olmo will be eligible to leave on a free transfer.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Olmo has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave Barca for free if he is not registered before January 2025. This is a great opportunity for Manchester United to own a quality player without having to pay any transfer fee. With the ability to play well in the wing-back position, Olmo is considered perfect for the 3-4-3 formation that Amorim is building at Old Trafford.
Ederson strengthens midfield
Alongside Olmo, Ruben Amorim also wants to add a dynamic central midfielder to strengthen the team's midfield. According to Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Atalanta midfielder Ederson is one of the targets that MU is seriously considering.

The Brazilian has enjoyed a stellar season for Atalanta, featuring in 22 games in all competitions. With a contract running until 2027, Ederson is valued at between £41-50m. A powerful box-to-box midfielder, he is seen as a natural fit for the pace and physicality of the Premier League.
Ederson's arrival will bring balance and mobility to the Red Devils' midfield, especially in the context that the team is in need of a player capable of supporting both defense and attack.
Dani Olmo and Ederson are two of Manchester United's main targets in the January transfer window. This is a strategy to meet coach Ruben Amorim's requirements in rebuilding the squad and improving the Red Devils' performance.
However, to achieve these deals, MU needs to solve a number of financial and personnel problems, including liquidating players who are no longer in the plan. If successful, the appearance of Olmo and Ederson promises to bring a new wind, helping the team ready to compete in the remaining stages of the season.
