For buying, selling, and illegally possessing narcotics, three individuals received a total of 68 months in prison.
On July 5th, at the No. 1 Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Center in Nghe An province, the People's Court of Nghia Dan district held two mobile court sessions to publicly try two cases involving three defendants charged with "illegally buying, selling, and possessing narcotic substances."
Case 1: At approximately 3 PM on April 25, 2024, Hoang Van Kien, born in 2001, residing in Nghia Tien commune, Thai Hoa town, experienced drug cravings and drove his motorbike to the gate of Tay Bac Nghe An Hospital to buy drugs for personal use.

Here, Kien met and bought from an unknown young man named Tai, whose address was unknown, 3 tablets of methamphetamine, with a total weight of 0.32 grams, for 700,000 VND.
While Hoang Van Kien was looking for a place to use the drugs, he was discovered by the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghia Dan District Police, who seized all three drug pills.
Second case: On June 8, 2024, in Trung An hamlet, Nghia An commune, Nghia Dan district, the Nghia Dan District Police caught Ho Sy Nguyen, born in 1994, residing in Phu Khanh hamlet, Nghia Khanh commune, in possession of 0.27g of Methamphetamine.
During the investigation, Nguyen confessed that he bought the drugs from Le Anh Tuan, born in 1983, who lives in the same commune.

Based on Nguyen's testimony, on the same day, the Criminal Investigation Agency of Nghia Dan District Police proceeded to detain Le Anh Tuan in an emergency situation, seizing 0.77g of Methamphetamine from him.
During the investigation, Tuan confessed that he bought the drugs to sell to drug addicts for profit.
At the trial, the defendants honestly confessed their guilt, and their statements were consistent with the indictment of the Nghia Dan District People's Procuracy and the documents in the case file.
Determining the nature and severity of the crimes, the Trial Council sentenced the defendants as follows: Ho Sy Nguyen to 18 months in prison, Le Anh Tuan to 30 months in prison, and Hoang Van Kien to 20 months in prison.

The organization of the mobile court trial at the No. 1 Compulsory Drug Rehabilitation Center in Nghe An province attracted the attention of the trainees. Through the questioning, indictment, and argumentation process at the trial, the Judging Panel and the Prosecutor proactively disseminated the provisions of criminal law, the law on drug prevention and control, and the harmful effects and consequences of drug use.
This helps trainees at the drug rehabilitation center better understand the state management of addictive substances, the causes and methods of drug-related crimes; enhances their awareness of law compliance, and encourages them to actively fight against crime in general and drug-related crimes in particular.
