On October 12, Ky Son District Police said that the unit is temporarily detaining Lau Xai Co (born in 1960), residing in Huoi Poc village, Nam Can commune (Ky Son) to investigate and clarify the act of "Illegal possession of drugs”.

Previously, upon receiving information from the people, at 9:40 a.m. on October 10, 2021, in the Huoi Poc village area, Nam Can commune, the Investigation Team of Ky Son district police and Nam Can commune police coordinated with relevant units to arrest Lau Xai Co for the act of "Illegal possession of drugs". Seized evidence: 06 grams of heroin, 03 grams of synthetic drugs and some related evidence.
At the police station, Lau Xai Co confessed that he was a heavy drug addict and was always “hungry for drugs”. Therefore, Lau Xai Co went to the border area to buy drugs for use. To avoid having to travel back and forth many times, Co bought both heroin and synthetic drugs to bring home to hide and use gradually.
Currently, the case is being further investigated and clarified by Ky Son District Police.
